There's some symmetry in the fact that it took us a year to get around to posting Natalie and Nathan's wedding, because it took them a year longer than they expected to make it down the aisle. Originally due to be married in 2016, the arrival of their sweet little boy postponed proceedings until February 2017.

We started their wedding day at the family cottage just outside of Ballarat, with Natalie the picture of relaxation as the transformation got underway.

It turned out that hair and make-up was the easy part. The bridesmaids' dresses, purchased for the original wedding date, caused some 'wardrobe malfunction' moments...

You've got to admire a bride who is willing to get her hands...um, feet...dirty on her wedding day...

Eventually, after much manoeuvring, zipping and a few grunts, the bridesmaids made it into their dresses.

Eventually it was Natalie's turn to finally, after a long wait, put on that beautiful dress.

Handling it like a pro, even with her hands full...

A very dapper suit for a handsome little man...

A family heirloom that we were very glad we took a photo of as it later ended up in the lake...more on that in another post!

After all the stress of the day so far, it was lovely to see Natalie walk out the door with a smile on her face, ready to marry the love of her life.

The ceremony, held in the stunning Loreto Chapel, will be featured in a future blog post.
